The media advisor of the governorate pointed out that this comes in cooperation with the Armed Forces, the ministries of Environment, Tourism and antiquities, and the hipka Society for Environmental Conservation, in order to complement the cooperation between the Egyptian government, civil society organizations and a number of scientists and those interested in diving in the Red Sea, in order to activate the protocol signed between the Red Sea governorate and the armed forces on dumping old military equipment and vehicles in various places, and installing them on the bottom of the Red Sea.


The media adviser of the governorate said that the governor of the Red Sea, delivered a speech during which he welcomed the Egyptian Minister of Environment, and the Arab ministers of Environment, announcing the launch of the First War Museum of ancient military equipment from the Sixties and seventies, consisting of Tanks, troop transport vehicles and infantry vehicles, to sink them in the sea water in the city of Hurghada, pointing during the speech to the start of the sinking of military equipment consisting of 15 pieces,

each of which has a unique story and special importance, in three different locations he will create new diving sites in Hurghada, pointing out that each piece will be carefully sunk.

the governor described the event during his speech as a large and unique one, as it is the first in Egypt and Africa, and he also collects the first 3 Alternative diving sites in Hurghada, explaining that this outstanding project came as a result of a great effort in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and the Environmental Conservation Society “hipka”, and after years of careful planning and preparation, with the aim of preserving the natural coral reefs in the Red Sea, pointing out that these sites are located off the coast of the Red Sea governorate, where the busiest sites are to relieve pressure on natural coral reefs and create a new and unforgettable experience that combines the charm of history and the beauty of the marine environment.

and there are more than 200 sites for diving tourism in the Red Sea، He stressed that coral reefs are an important economic wealth , and they must be preserved and protected from the risks that they may be exposed to, whether natural or caused by humans.

The governor appealed to the media, based on their national role and responsibility, to promote tourism to tourist destinations and deliver a tourist information message about what they see in the Egyptian destination, and that Egypt promises its visitors a unique and distinct experience, as it provides advanced tourism products that encourage tourists to repeat the visit, in addition to highlighting the strategy of the Ministry of Tourism and antiquities, which is based on three axes, the most prominent of which is to improve the tourist experience in Egypt and raise the quality of tourist services provided.

Dr. Yasmin Fouad, for her continuous follow-up and harnessing all the possibilities of the ministry to support this project, and all those who participated in reaching this achievement from various security and executive authorities, and society the civil society, especially the Environmental Conservation Association “hipka”, which played a big role in bringing this project to Al-Nour, wishing the guests of the governorate to enjoy the safe healthy climate that the city of Hurghada is characterized by.
